GLOCAL
After travelling the world, experiencing new cultures, and discovering unique flavours, we chose Sri Lanka as our new home. Casa Tikiri is a reflection of who we are — a blend of Italian and Sri Lankan culture, shaped by everything we’ve appreciated, learned, and loved throughout our journey.
The word “glocal” combines global and local — and it perfectly expresses the idea of thinking globally while acting locally. In tourism, it means offering an experience that blends international standards of comfort and quality with the authenticity, warmth, and traditions of local culture.
Design & Interiors
At Casa Tikiri, we’ve blended international standards of luxury and comfort with local charm.
Most of our furniture consists of restored antique pieces. Lamps, chairs, and mirrors are handmade from local cane by artisans in our village, and traditional decorations reflect the richness of Sri Lankan craftsmanship and culture.
Food & Flavours
Our menu combines international favourites with local specialities. We use fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally to offer a unique and authentic culinary experience.

We aim to merge the professionalism and attention to detail of the best international standards with the warmth and sincerity of local hospitality — creating a welcoming, home-like atmosphere where every guest feels truly cared for.

We support a circular economy
Casa Tikiri bags and scrunchies are made from leftover fabrics bought by the kilo — rescued from local factories that manufacture clothing for major international brands. We carefully select these fabric scraps, which are then transformed into Tikiri Bags and Tikiri Scrunchies by tailors in our village. In doing so, we support the local economy and promote conscious recycling.
Our goal isn’t just to reduce Casa Tikiri’s environmental impact — it’s to inspire our guests to live more sustainably, during their stay and long after they leave.

Casa Tikiri is an adults-only hotel — a space reserved exclusively for guests aged 18 and over. This choice allows us to create a calm, peaceful atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a break from the noise and rush of everyday life.
By being adults-only, we’re able to offer a more curated, intimate experience. We want every guest to feel looked after, to enjoy slow moments, and to fully unwind — without interruptions.

Whether you’ve spent the day exploring or just feel like staying in, Casa Tikiri is where you can truly unwind. To protect this sense of calm, we’ve chosen a Guests Only policy: during the day, access to the pool and restaurant is reserved exclusively for those staying with us.
